Cairns Secondhand and New Tyres has been around for the best part of 30 years and is still owned by one of the original owners.

For 20 years we where selling secondhand tyres imported from Japan (Michelin, Toyo, Yokohama, Continental, Bridgestone - all which are also now made in China or Thailand ) and back then they where 1/2 price of a new tyre.

With China taking over manufacturing around the world it meant we needed to change. Pricing became more competitive, and we could sell a new tyre for only a little extra than the secondhand.

​

We still stock secondhand tyres but now they come from trade-ins.

Things have certainly changed in the past 10 years but we try to keep our service the same, we are still old school and like to greet our customers at the door, if we don’t have what you need we try and source it or send you to the right place.

We also use Tyre Cycle to dispose of our old discarded tyres which get recycled to things like playgrounds matting running surfaces and even in brake pads.
